- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic.
- Add tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper to the skillet; simmer for 10 minutes.
- Spread a layer of meat sauce in a baking dish, layer with noodles, then ricotta, then mozzarella.
- Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella on top.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Letting the lasagna rest allows the layers to set better.
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
