- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine coconut milk, coconut sugar, maple syrup, and sea salt.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently.
- Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Let the caramel sauce cool before using, it will thicken further as it cools.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
- Reheat gently before serving as it may solidify when cold.
