Delicious Swedish veal patties served with a creamy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground veal
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground veal, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, salt, pepper, and allspice. Mix well.
  2. Shape the mixture into patties.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and cook the patties until browned on both sides.
  4. Remove patties and set aside. In the same skillet, add cream and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.
  5. Return patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • These patties can be served with mashed potatoes or lingonberry sauce for an authentic touch.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated.
