Ingredients

  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 pound raw fish (like tuna or salmon)
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cucumber, julienned
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon wasabi (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine sushi rice and water; bring to a boil, then cover and cook on low for 20 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes. Stir in rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.
  4. Cut wonton wrappers into triangles and mold them into cones, securing with a bit of water.
  5. Bake the wonton cones in the oven for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Once cooled, fill each cone with sushi rice, fish, avocado, cucumber, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Serve with soy sauce and wasabi on the side.
