- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and salt. Cook over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
- Bring to a boil and cook until it reaches the hard crack stage, about 300°F (150°C).
- Remove from heat and stir in sunflower seeds, butter, and vanilla.
- Pour mixture onto a greased baking sheet and spread evenly.
- Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
