A delicious and easy-to-make sandwich featuring cream cheese and smoked salmon.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices whole grain bread
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces smoked salmon
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. Spread cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer smoked salmon, cucumber slices, and capers on four of the slices.
  4. Top with the remaining bread slices, cream cheese side down.
  5. Cut sandwiches in half and serve.

Notes

  • These sandwiches can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
  • Try adding arugula for extra flavor and texture.
