Ingredients

- 8 slices whole grain bread
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 8 ounces smoked salmon
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 2 tablespoons capers
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Spread cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer smoked salmon, cucumber slices, and capers on four of the slices.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, cream cheese side down.
- Cut sandwiches in half and serve.
Notes
- These sandwiches can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
- Try adding arugula for extra flavor and texture.
