- 1 cup sheep cheese, grated
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 cup sour cream for serving
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sheep cheese, egg, salt, and black pepper.
- Knead the mixture until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into small pieces and shape them into dumplings.
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and carefully drop in the dumplings.
- Cook until they float to the surface, then simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove the dumplings and let them drain.
- Serve hot with melted butter and sour cream.
Notes
- These dumplings can also be enjoyed with a sprinkle of chives or a dash of paprika for extra flavor.
- For a variation, you can incorporate spinach or other herbs into the cheese mixture.
