Delicious and tender pork belly burnt ends glazed with a smoky, sweet sauce.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds pork belly
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the smoker to 225°F.
  2. Cut the pork belly into 1-inch cubes.
  3. In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Coat the pork belly cubes with the spice mixture.
  5. Place the cubed pork belly in the smoker and smoke for 3 hours.
  6. Remove the pork belly from the smoker and toss with the barbecue sauce and honey.
  7. Return the pork belly to the smoker for an additional hour, saucing every 20 minutes.
  8. Once done, let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider using applewood or hickory chips for smoking.
  • Allow leftovers to cool completely before refrigerating.
