Deliciously sweet and crunchy Pistachio Rice Krispie Treats for a unique twist on the classic dessert.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat.
  2. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and combined with the butter.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  4. Add Rice Krispies cereal and chopped pistachios to the pot and stir until everything is well coated.
  5. Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan and press down evenly.
  6. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For an extra crunch, add more chopped pistachios on top before letting them cool.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
