- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 cup water, ice-cold
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup pistachios, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, and yeast.
- Add cold butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in ice-cold water until dough forms.
- Knead the dough and roll into a rectangle.
- Fold the dough and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the pistachio filling by mixing chopped pistachios with heavy cream.
- Roll out the dough, cut into triangles, and place filling on the broad end.
- Roll into croissant shape and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes.
Notes
- Ensure the butter is very cold for flaky croissants.
- Experiment with different types of nuts for the filling.
