Delicious flaky croissants filled with a rich pistachio cream.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cup water, ice-cold
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Add cold butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Stir in ice-cold water until dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough and roll into a rectangle.
  5. Fold the dough and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  6. Prepare the pistachio filling by mixing chopped pistachios with heavy cream.
  7. Roll out the dough, cut into triangles, and place filling on the broad end.
  8. Roll into croissant shape and place on a baking sheet.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes.

Notes

  • Ensure the butter is very cold for flaky croissants.
  • Experiment with different types of nuts for the filling.
