Ingredients

  • 1 cup pistachios, shelled
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a food processor, blend the pistachios until finely ground. Combine with melted butter, sugar, flour, and salt until a dough forms.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden, then remove from the oven and let cool.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, orange juice, orange zest, and cardamom.
  6. Pour the filling into the cooled crust and bake for another 25-30 minutes until the filling is set.
  7. Allow to cool completely, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes
