- 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons orange juice (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cardamom, salt, and yeast.
- In a separate bowl, combine warm milk, orange juice, melted butter, eggs, and orange zest.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and knead until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and shape it into buns.
- Place buns on a baking sheet and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.
- Mix powdered sugar and orange juice to create a glaze and drizzle over cooled buns.
