Deliciously fudgy brownies made with olive oil and topped with sea salt for a perfect sweet and savory balance.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together olive oil, sugar, and brown sugar.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, and mix until well combined.
  4. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
  7. Sprinkle sea salt on top of the batter.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow to cool before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • For a denser brownie, add an extra egg.
  • These brownies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
