Ingredients

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- 4 egg yolks
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine heavy cream and sugar. Heat over medium heat until sugar has dissolved.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together egg yolks and milk until well combined.
- Gradually add the egg mixture to the cream mixture, stirring constantly.
- Cook over low heat until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
- Remove from heat and let cool before refrigerating.
Notes
- Serve chilled.
- Can be topped with fresh berries or whipped cream.
