Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Sift together the flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk until well combined.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a stronger matcha flavor, increase the matcha powder to 3 tablespoons.
