- 2 mackerel, cleaned and filleted
- 1 cup animal fat
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon bay leaves
Instructions
- Heat the animal fat in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and bell pepper; sauté until softened.
- Stir in the vinegar, salt, black pepper, and bay leaves.
- Add the mackerel fillets to the skillet and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Remove from heat and let cool before serving.
Notes
- This dish can be served warm or chilled.
- Add additional vegetables as desired for more flavor.
