  • 1 teaspoon bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Heat the animal fat in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and bell pepper; sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in the vinegar, salt, black pepper, and bay leaves.
  4. Add the mackerel fillets to the skillet and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool before serving.
