Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar and flour.
- Add the water, lemon juice, egg yolks, salt, and lemon zest; mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the egg whites into the lemon mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until set.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a bit of lemon zest.
- Serve chilled with whipped cream or fresh berries for garnish.
