Delicious and savory spinach puffs inspired by Kronk from the Emperor’s New Groove.

Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 package puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the spinach, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, egg, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into squares.
  4. Place a tablespoon of the spinach mixture in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges.
  6. Brush the tops with olive oil.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add herbs such as thyme or basil to the filling.
