- 200 milliliters water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 6 eggs
- 1 liter milk
- 150 grams sugar
- 100 grams cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 200 grams whipped cream
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a saucepan, combine butter, water, and salt; bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat, add flour all at once, and stir until it forms a ball.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Spread half of the dough onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 30 minutes, then repeat with the remaining dough.
- For the filling, combine milk, sugar, and cornstarch in a pot; cook until thickened.
- Add vanilla extract and cool.
- Once both pastry layers are cool, spread the cream filling on one layer.
- Top with the second pastry layer and frost with whipped cream.
- Chill in the refrigerator before serving.

- For extra flavor, consider adding chocolate shavings on top.
