Instructions
- In a bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Add glutinous rice flour, sugar, salt, and water. Mix until combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a microwave-safe dish and cover with plastic wrap.
- Microwave on high for 1 minute, stir, then microwave for an additional 1-2 minutes until the mochi is sticky and cooked through.
- Allow to cool slightly, then sprinkle a clean surface with cornstarch.
- Dust your hands with cornstarch and shape the mochi into small balls.
- Let the mochi rest for a few minutes, dusting with more cornstarch as needed.
Notes
- Store any leftover mochi in an airtight container.
- For variation, add fillings like sweet red bean paste or ice cream.
