Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1.5 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Gradually add warm water and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover and let the dough rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape into rings.
  6. Soak each ring in a mixture of water and molasses, then coat with sesame seeds.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 450°F for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
