Deliciously crispy and savory Scotch Eggs, perfect for a hearty snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 pound sausage meat
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs for 6-7 minutes, then cool in ice water.
  2. Peel the eggs and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix sausage meat with salt and pepper.
  4. Wrap each egg with sausage meat completely.
  5. Coat each sausage-wrapped egg in flour, then dip in beaten egg, and roll in breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan and fry the eggs until golden brown.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add chili flakes to the sausage mixture.
  • Serve with mustard or your favorite dipping sauce.
