  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup scallions, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for topping)
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken with panko breadcrumbs, chopped scallions, grated ginger, tamari, sesame oil, maple syrup, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Stir the mixture until everything is evenly incorporated.
  4. Shape the mixture into small balls, roughly 1 inch in size, and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are fully cooked and have a nice golden color.
  6. Once done, take them out of the oven and sprinkle sesame seeds on top, adding chopped cilantro if desired.
  7. Serve these delightful bites warm for a delicious treat.
