Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and cook until bright green and tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Drain and immediately plunge beans into an ice bath to stop cooking.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add drained green beans and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional minute.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle slivered almonds on top before serving.
