Ingredients

- 1 cup lentils
- 1 cup rice
- 1 cup small pasta
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- Rinse the lentils and rice separately.
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the onion until translucent.
- Add the lentils, cumin, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add the rice and small pasta to the pot. Stir well.
- Cover and cook on low heat for another 20-25 minutes, or until the rice and pasta are cooked through and the water is absorbed.
- Season with salt and pepper. Fluff with a fork and serve hot.
Notes
- This dish can be served with a side of salad for a complete meal.
