Ingredients

  • 1 cup red lentils
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Rinse the red lentils under cold water and drain.
  2. In a pot, combine the red lentils and water, then bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes until the lentils are soft.
  4. Drain any excess water and let cool slightly.
  5. Add the salt, garlic powder, onion powder, olive oil, and black pepper to the lentils and blend until smooth.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Spoon the lentil mixture onto the baking sheet and spread it out evenly.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, then remove and let cool before breaking into crackers.
