- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, butter, vanilla extract, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and salt over medium heat.
- Stir continuously until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the sides, about 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Once cool enough to handle, shape the mixture into small balls.
- Roll the balls in cocoa powder, then in granulated sugar.
- Allow to set before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the mixture does not burn by constantly stirring.
- For a more decadent treat, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
