Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries and water. Cook over medium heat until the cranberries pop.
  2. Stir in the orange juice, lemon juice, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  3. In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in a little cold water, then stir it into the cranberry mixture.
  4. Bring to a boil and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat and pour into a square dish. Allow to cool completely.
  6. Once set, cut into bite-sized pieces and dust with additional sugar, if desired.
