  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour, matcha powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. Combine milk mixture, melted butter, and egg into the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
  4. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until elastic.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread with butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
  8. Place rolls in a baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  10. For icing, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth, then drizzle over warm rolls.
