- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, matcha powder, sugar, and salt.
- Combine milk mixture, melted butter, and egg into the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread with butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into rolls.
- Place rolls in a baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- For icing, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth, then drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
- Adding nuts can provide extra texture.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
