Ingredients

  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the molasses, brown sugar, and melted butter.
  3. Add the eggs and milk; mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
