- 1 cup molasses
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the molasses, brown sugar, and melted butter.
- Add the eggs and milk; mix until well combined.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
- Can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
