  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup yellow food coloring
  • 1 cup green food coloring

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Divide the mixture into two bowls. Color one bowl with yellow food coloring and the other with green food coloring.
  3. Shape the yellow mixture into small ovals for the egg yolk.
  4. Shape the green mixture into the white part of the egg.
  5. Chill the shaped candies in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, melt chocolate chips with vegetable oil until smooth.
  7. Dip the chilled egg shapes into the chocolate to coat completely, and let set on wax paper.
