Ingredients

- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water, and heat until caramelized.
- In another bowl, mix milk, cornstarch, and salt.
- Once the sugar mixture is caramelized, slowly add the milk mixture and stir well.
- Cook on low heat until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour into serving dishes and refrigerate until set.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a bit of cream to the milk mixture.
- This pudding can be served warm or chilled.
