- 500 grams all-purpose flour
- 100 grams sugar
- 10 grams salt
- 20 grams active dry yeast
- 250 ml milk, warmed
- 2 large eggs
- 100 grams butter, softened
- 300 ml pastry cream
- oil for frying
- powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm milk and eggs, mix until a dough forms.
- Knead in softened butter until smooth.
- Let the dough rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Shape the dough into balls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer to 180°C (356°F).
- Fry the dough balls until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes each side.
- Remove from oil and place on paper towels.
- Once cooled, inject with pastry cream using a piping bag.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Make sure the oil temperature is stable to prevent soggy doughnuts.
- For extra flavor, you can add vanilla to the pastry cream.
