Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the vegetable oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  4. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
