- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, melted butter, and sugar.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt until just blended.
- If desired, fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- For best flavor, use very ripe bananas.
